It was sooooooooo beautiful swimming with these little guys this morning. It's been a bad summer for underwater because of the passing hurricanes, browning out the coastal waters with the rain they have been bringing. I haven't shot underwater in months because of it, but I was pretty keen to take a look this morning and was delightfully surprised to see so much sea life going. Numerous large schools of fish and quite a few Hawaiian sea turtles. These two were just hanging out, having a seaweed breakfast. They were totally cool with me being there too. Jay Alders new Seazen Gallery opened today. I've known Jay since he officially became my very 1st social networking friend at Myspace all those years ago. i believe it was 2007 when I had first ventured into Myspace. Looking back, it was pretty cool actually. You could customize it to play your favourite music and you could arrange your page exactly how you wanted it to look. I haven't seen anything quite that cool since. Hope your opening was a massive success Jay.

I'm holding my first big slide show at up at Bird's Surf Shed in San Diego on Friday, April the 3rd. They say that dark blue is THE color to have in your bedroom, because it helps to promote a relaxed mind and as someone who makes my living by perceiving and photographing color, I'm very much inclined to agree. I photographed this on the 1st of two blood moons, last year. I didn't want just a picture of the moon though , it had to be more than that. I thought "well, I'm here in the tropics, what says tropics more than palm trees. The almost zero winds helped a lot with the time exposure, that was required to gather enough light into the frame to give a bit of color to the sky. The palm leaves remained still throughout the whole exposure.
