Drake can add one more accomplishment to his list this year: most streamed artist on Spotify. The Canadian rapper received 4.7 billion streams in 2016 according to the service, on the back of his megahit "One Dance (feat. WizKid and Kyla)" and his 2016 record Views. 

"Drake has been unstoppable this year — he's a true global superstar," said Spotify exec Stefan Blom in a statement (via Billboard). "With the top album and the top song this year, as well as his successful Summer Sixteen tour, Drake continues to engage his fans in a way that only Drake can; it's no surprise he is dominating the music industry."

Justin Bieber and Rihanna were the second and third most streamed artists. Rihanna takes the honor as the most streamed female artist (beating out Ariana Grande, Sia and Adele). After Views, Bieber's 2015 record Purpose was the second most streamed record.
