An indictment links them to an April shooting of Wayne's tour buses.
Young Thug and Birdman were accused of conspiring to kill Lil Wayne in an indictment uncovered by Atlanta affiliate WSB-TV 2. This links the two of them—a once-vocal fan and father figure to the rapper, respectively—with an incident in April, where two of Wayne's tour buses were shot at outside Atlanta nightclub Compound.
The indictment claims that Young Thug threatened Lil Wayne in "Halftime," off his album Barter 6, while Thug's tour manager Jimmy Winfrey (known as "Pee Wee Roscoe") carried out the threat, driving the white Chevy Camaro that fired shots at Wayne's tour buses. Winfrey's attorneys have since filed motions to dismiss charges of racketeering. They say that Thug's lyrics were misinterpreted and make no threat to Wayne.
Meanwhile, Young Thug just got charged of multiple drug and weapon felonies after threatening to kill a Perimeter Mall cop, also in Atlanta. He is being held at DeKalb County Jail.
