22 May 2019: The department of homeland security had issued a notice proposing a rule that would ban the H-4 EAD (Employment Authorisation Document), the process is currently at the second last stage. Once the proposal is approved, it will be posted in the federal register and people will have 30 or 60 days to post comments, following which the regulation will be made final, adding that it may take as long as a year for the program to be completely scrapped off"
