As Black History Month comes to an end we wish to cast a celebratory ear to blues music.From deplorable conditions, Blues music blossomed toinfluence, mobilise and engage people well beyond the musical sphere.We're proud to work with artists who are not only celebrating the blues and folk mentors (eg. Eric Bibb with his honouring of Lead Belly or Rory Block with her series dedicated to the likes of Mississippi Fred McDowell and Skip James) but also continuing to evolve that conversation."The path (Lead Belly) cut through a world that conspired to rob him of his humanity, dignity & manhood was a personal triumph that will inspire for generations to come." ~ Eric Bibb
