DOMED CEILING

Very large domes require precise calculation and expert workmanship. The first picture shows the framing of a thirty-three foot diameter ceiling dome designed and built by Po Ku Design Build. The plywood ribs were factory produced and assembled on site. Due to the tremendous weight of the dome, additional roof framing was installed and cables used to suspend the dome framing from the roof so as to hang the entire ceiling assembly from the beams above..The second photo shows the finished dome.
