Here is how they commented: "We are proud to announce that Alberto Zampolli joined the band as our new lead vocalist. Some of you have already seen Alberto in action in Milan when we opened for Scorpions in November 2015. Alberto, despite a very short notice, was able to conquer the 11.000 in attendance, stealing the show as a consummate pro and allowing us to replace Gamma Ray, who were not able to perform, as they deserved. We are very sad to announce that due to the many personal and professional commitments that overlapped with those of the band, David Merletto will no longer be the lead singer of Planethard.

First of all we want to thank David for his commitment and the passion he has put in the two years together. Have been for all of us a piece of life full of unforgettable experiences and great music, together we have created a small musical legacy that has given to us and to our fans so much happiness and good memories, this is the greatest value we feel we conquered.
We wish David the best in his career and for his musical projects.

Siamo molto tristi di annunciare che, a causa dei molteplici impegni personali e professionali che si accavallavano con quelli della band, Davide Merletto non potrà più essere il cantante dei Planethard. Prima di tutto vogliamo ringraziare Davide per l'impegno e la passione che ha messo nei due anni passati insieme. Sono stati per tutti noi un pezzo di vita ricco di esperienze indimenticabili e di ottima musica, insieme abbiamo creato una piccola eredità musicale che ha dato a noi e ai nostri fan tanta felicità e bellissimi ricordi, questo è il più grande valore che sentiamo di aver conquistato. Auguriamo a Davide il meglio per la sua carriera e per i suoi progetti musicali. Nei primi mesi del 2016 annunceremo il nuovo cantante.
