Daylight. Why was he so cold? He shook off the blur of his vision and noticed another detail. Where were his clothes?

He had only been teaching preschoolers for 6 months and already it was getting to him. This was no way for a preschool teacher to behave...

He raised his hand to his mouth and spat whatever it was out. He gingerly opened his eyes to see bits of glass mingling with blood on his palm.

He opened his eyes and was blinded by both light and pain. Ow. It wasn't just in his head though, there seemed to be something hurting his mouth.

Consciousness drifted like a diamond spatula into his brain then seemed to twist and turn into an ice cream scoop trying to dislodge his brain.
