Recommendations:The portion of the book that is aimed towards building up Nasty Gal from the bottom up was interesting and I sincerely enjoyed it, the part where she becomes materialistic and overly confident ends the book on a bit of a bad note. This book is not as in-your-face feminine as it comes off, so I would say if you are a guy that is interested in this topic, you might actually like the story content.Recommendation to Author: Expand more on the business aspect of Nasty Gal or end the book before the chapters dedicated to how you judge the people that you interview for positions at your company and how you think these people should dedicate their entire lives to your business. 100 pages previously, you were praising yourself for shoplifting from your bosses when you were between the ages of 16 and 22. In addition, the language was a bit elementary, if your target market is the "business-world", it would be better to use advanced vocabulary.

After researching the current best-selling nonfiction books, I came across this one. Being familiar with the modern day Nasty Gal website and a small business woman myself, I decided to order it. While reading #GIRLBOSS, I was able to relate to her business tactics and I understood the amount of time and energy she puts into each product because I do similar things with Mended Threads (thrifting, styling, posting online, communicating with customers through social media, and packing and shipping orders).

Within the pages of her book, Sophia explains every aspect of Nasty Gal Vintage: thrifting, styling, selecting models, taking silhouette enhancing pictures, brainstorming item descriptions, communicating with the customers on MySpace, packaging orders, shipping them out, and starting all over again.

She drops out of high school in 2000 at the age of 16 and started her adult career as a professional pick-pocketing shoplifter. In 2002, Sophia began selling stuff online, and the first thing she sold was a stolen book.
