spadefoot toad. This was a pleasant visitor to our ponds just a little while go. Only reason I photographed this toad in the water was he could not seam to get out.Yes I helped the toad get out of the water.

This was taken at Lake Billy Chinook as I hiked the canyon edge. I hardly ever see anyone on my hikes (that are not in boats down in the water), however if you do attempt this bring WATER! It gets vary hot here in the high desert of Oregon.

wild oregon owl. This owl rather startled me for he was eye to eye to me. We have big and small owls live here. This was a medium to large owl. When it flew it was just to close to me for a decent flying photograph.
