Way too many people making statements, statuses, quotes and they have no clue what they are saying nor are talking about. But everyone liking their statuses like they are really making major moves.... It is so much more to it than that, you can go to every meeting across the United States but if you have no clue or understanding to what is being offered to you.... sheeesh You will just sign a contract with a bunch of zeros and not have an understanding the terms or verbiage nor the incentive laiden contract..... So even though you are signed out still loose in the end..

Business 101 learn about business and the challenges the business world presents. It's not always about your music, rapping abilities, singing skills, or if you are marketable. 90% of it is business and if you don't know how to read contracts, understand verbiage, and present yourself with proper business etiquette you will loose. This is why so many of your favorite artist have some of the worst deals ever. It looks good from the outside looking in but those contracts and terms are horrible. And after their career is over and they have to payback all of those advances, pay the IRS, and other lifestyle bills most artist are left with little or nothing....Just go back and look at some of the artist, professional athletes ect..... The hostory speaks for itself.So take the time to educate yourself and the people around you!

So if an artist pays for an interview does that mean they are connected or that they got the plug? Because it's a lot of artist frontin' like they music all over the globe but they paying to go to different cities and do all these interviews. It would make more sense if you just created a budget and a plan then attacked each market. But what do I know nothing at all.... sheeeesh! Another thing why go through all the trouble creating an album and putting a barcode on it if you have no way to track or any capabilities to scan for BDS or album sells ect..... Why put waste the time & money, you can't reuse the barcode for the next project...The best thing artist should do for your first project invest put together a nice quality project, get great graphics, and get out promote it, market the project, if you are selling it hand to hand make the money and reinvest it. Don't waste money on barcodes that you have no use for at this point in time. If you have a supposed nice fanbase start off with 500 to a 1,000 copie

Artist learn how to invest your money in the right things because somethings aren't worth investing in at this point in time. It's a strategic balance. Don't invest in something that you need a huge fanbase to capitalize on, but invest in something you can get you return in first like a listening gathering, or party to promote your single or album and use the revenue to invest in other things. Provided you have the fanbase and right promoter to help you with the local and small events. Work your way up to the major events it will pay off more in the long run forget about poppin' bottles and all that foolishness grow and expand your brand the right way so you will have longevity. Don't be known as the artist who thought he/she was hot for 3 months in your local city and never did anything to expand your brand outside of your city, state, and region to make a legitimate run.... Remember just because you think you and your music is hot and everybosy in your hood saying you are hot don't equate to the indsutry sa
