  • Good morning everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good and worthy of all praise because He is the Lord of our lives! Please let the word of the Lord bless you today and every day.
    Today’s Prayer
Father, I stand here in the gap for my brothers and sisters everywhere to proclaim there are times when we feel overwhelmed, caught in a web of insurmountable problems, not knowing where to turn. Our hearts have needs that our minds can’t answer. Oh Lord, teach us to turn everything over to You, to relax, to trust You, to “climb our watchtower and wait to see what answer You will give to our complaints.” Remind us that our weakness is also our opportunity to discover Your strength. Forgive us for forgetting that You never expected us to carry our burdens alone. We need You every hour, we need You. Do not abandon us. In the wonderful name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

    Christ’s Lordship
    Avowed by Professors
    Matthew 7:21-23
“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’
    Denied by False Teachers
    Jude 3-4
Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people. I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
    Confessed by His Servants
    Philippians 3:8
Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ
    To be acknowledged by all
    Philippians 2:9-11
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
    Quote of the Day
To excuse what can really produce good excuses is not Christian charity; it is only fairness. To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you. This is hard. It is perhaps not so hard to forgive a single injury. But to forgive the incessant provocations of daily life – to keep on forgiving the bossy mother-in-law, the bullying husband, the nagging wife, the selfish daughter, the deceitful son – how can we do it? Only, I think, by remembering where we stand, by meaning our words when we say in our prayers each night, “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” We are offered forgiveness on no other terms. To refuse it means to refuse God’s mercy for ourselves. There is no hint of exceptions and God means what He says.

  • Good morning everyone. Today I’m going to ask you to do something that’s a little different. I want you to give yourself a hug in the name of Jesus. I want you to understand that Jesus loves you, even if you don’t think that you are following the word of God the way you should. Even if your not loving your neighbor as yourself. Even if you still have prejudice in your heart. Because I want you to know right now that if you drop to your knees and confess those things (and we all need to do this. Every one of us) He will forgive you for those short comings.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23
    Today’s Prayer
Father, Your Word and acts of the past demonstrate to us Your desires to reflect Your nature and power through every individual–including me! I know that’s because those who reflect Your glory affect the world. We pray that in all situations we face, we will be obedient and dependent upon You and give You all the praise and glory, so that You will demonstrate Your power that all people may know of Your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of Your Kingdom. We’d like to be able to say, with the Apostle Paul, “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power” (1 Corinthians 2:4-5). Thank you, In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Psalm 13
O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way? How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand? Turn and answer me, O Lord my God! Restore the sparkle to my eyes, or I will die. Don’t let my enemies gloat, saying, “We have defeated him!” Don’t let them rejoice at my downfall. But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me.
    Quote of the Day
Christ’s call is to save the lost, not the stiff-necked; He came not to call scoffers but sinners to repentance; not to build and furnish comfortable chapels, churches, and cathedrals at home in which to rock Christian professors to sleep by means of clever essays, stereotyped prayers, and artistic musical performances, but to capture men from the devil’s clutches and the very jaws of Hell. This can be accomplished only by a red-hot, unconventional, unfettered devotion, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Good morning everyone. This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. I went to the solace of the Psalms today for our meal. Enjoy every morsel.
    Today’s prayer
Father, You are great and powerful. Show us the way, give us the insight, help us to know what to do and say to reach the lost around us. We pray for wisdom, for boldness, for the words to say, for understanding of their cultures, their situations, and their needs. Please give us the means and the knowledge to influence their minds, stir their emotions, engage their spirits, that Your Holy Spirit might prick their consciences and move upon them that they will call upon You to save their souls. Please examine our lives and show us any unclean thing that we may repent and ask Your forgiveness. We don’t want anything to stand in the way of Your working through us to make a difference in the lives of the lost and dying. We don’t want to quench the Holy Spirit. Instead, we want to be clean and willing vessels, ready for Your use; ready for the “God appointments” You send our way. Please have mercy Lord. May we be fresh in mind and spirit this day. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
    Psalm 83
O God, don’t sit idly by, silent and inactive! Don’t you hear the tumult of your enemies? Don’t you see what your arrogant enemies are doing? They devise crafty schemes against your people, laying plans against your precious ones. “Come,” they say, “let us wipe out Israel as a nation. We will destroy the very memory of its existence.” This was their unanimous decision. They signed a treaty as allies against you– these Edomites and Ishmaelites, Moabites and Hagrites, Gebalites, Ammonites, and Amalekites, and people from Philistia and Tyre. Assyria has joined them, too, and is allied with the descendants of Lot. Do to them as you did to the Midianites or as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River. They were destroyed at Endor, and their decaying corpses fertilized the soil. Let their mighty nobles die as Oreb and Zeeb did. Let all their princes die like Zebah and Zalmunna, for they said, “Let us seize for our own use these pasturelands of God!” O my God, blow them away like whirling dust, like chaff before the wind! As a fire roars through a forest and as a flame sets mountains ablaze, chase them with your fierce storms; terrify them with your tempests. Utterly disgrace them until they submit to your name, O LORD. Let them be ashamed and terrified forever. Make them failures in everything they do, until they learn that you alone are called the LORD, that you alone are the Most High, supreme over all the earth.

  • Good morning everyone. I was talking with some friends a couple days ago about a mutual business that they are involved in. The lack of positive results came up so they consulted me as I have in previous years had success in this area. That caused me to go back and look at how they were approaching the marketing end of the business. Some of it was a little shaky. They are now in the process of cleaning up some things. I went into scripture to get an example of doing things given by God but coming up short of success. May it help you in a situation you may be going through.
    Today’s Prayer
    (This is personal)
Father, thank you for this day. Thank you for my being able to see, to hear, to speak, to move about this morning. I’m blessed because You are a forgiving and understanding God. You have done so much for me. I have witnessed your hand of blessing, your miraculous power in my life and the lives of those I love, and you just keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me, my family, and my internet church family safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a positive and Christ-focused attitude and plenty of gratitude. Please clear my mind of distractions so that I can hear from you and please direct my steps today. Thank you so much, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

    The Causes of Failure

I was reading the book of Joshua and learning from the word when it struck my spirit why we as people are not successful in some of our endeavors; because we sometimes step outside of God’s will to get things done. I was reminded of how God blessed Joshua and the people of Israel with a victory in the battle at Jericho.
Joshua was now ready to move to their next battle at Ai. After they spied out the enemy camp, they determined they needed only a few thousand men to gain victory. They went up against Ai only to fail miserably. They lost 32 men in a battle that should have been an easy victory, but instead they were forced to retreat. Joshua was devastated. “Ah, Sovereign Lord, why did You ever bring this people across the Jordan to deliver us into the hands of the Amorites to destroy us?” (Joshua 7:7). In this case, the people fell short because they failed to uphold the standard God had set for them. God had told them not to take any plunder from their first battle. However, Achan hid some forbidden treasures, and God was now judging the entire nation for one man’s sin.
Whenever we act without God’s complete blessing on our activity, we can expect Him to thwart our plans. God’s word to Joshua was that he could not stand against his enemies as long as there was disobedience among his troops. Whenever we go into any endeavor, be it a business or even a ministry, we should make sure there are no unclean things in our dealings that would allow us to be vulnerable to a failed effort: unpaid vendors, disgruntled employees who were not treated fairly, lawsuits, dishonesty. Many of these things can hinder God from blessing our enterprises. These things can remove the shield of protection from our workplace and ministries, which God wants to bless, but can’t because He is committed to upholding righteousness. His name is blemished when unrighteousness is allowed to permeate our lives.
Is the Lord able to bless your enterprises today? If not, you may need to go back and clean up a few things before He can do so. Take whatever steps are needed to ensure the blessing of God today.
    Quote of the Day
It is grace at the beginning, and grace at the end. So that when you and I come to lie upon our death beds, the one thing that should comfort and help and strengthen us there is the thing that helped us in the beginning. Not what we have been, not what we have done, but the Grace of God in Jesus Christ our Lord. The Christian life starts with grace, it must continue with grace, it ends with grace. Grace wondrous grace. By the grace of God I am what I am. Yet not I, but the Grace of God which was with me.

  • Good morning and praise the Lord for giving us another chance to get ourselves straight and to spread the gospel. The question becomes, Will you do it? There is someone out there that needs you.
    Today’s Prayer

On behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ I lift my hands in praise, to honor You Ancient of Days. You were and are and are to come. You alone are worthy. You alone are all-powerful. You alone have the keys to death and hell. You alone have provided the way to heaven through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. You know the past and can see the future. Thank You for carrying and being with us through our lives. Thank You that You will be with us always and we will be with You in eternity. We love You and want to glorify You in all we are and do. Please forgive us for failing. Help us, Father. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Being a Shelter for Those in Need

The following scripture grabbed me as I read it and put me in a deep mode of giving thanks to God. What a revelation I got from this.
Each man will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land. – Isaiah 32:2

Think about this. It’s a very hot day and you’re outside for an extended period. The sun is beating down, sweat begins to pour off your brow, and your throat and mouth are parched with thirst. A little shade, a slight breeze, or a cool drink becomes the greatest thing that you could get at that moment.

This is the reality of this whole thing. If you work for a living you are spending about 10 hours or more of your day getting to work, working and returning home. We spend a major portion of our time awake in our workplace. So if this is the case, this is where are ministry is. When you and I walk with Christ in our workplace, regardless what the environment is, we become that kind of oasis for non-Christians. On the other hand, they may not recognize it at the time. Let’s face it; the workplace is pretty tough, especially when Christ is not in the center of it. When a person becomes aware of their need of Christ through you or me, we have become a shelter from the wind. We become their refuge from the storms of life.

I don’t know who to give credit to for saying this but it is so very true; you and I might be the only Bible someone ever reads, so we need to be something worth reading.
Are you available to be that shelter for a non-believing friend?
If so, then you may open the eyes of someone who has been blind his or her whole life. What an incredible blessing to know you were the instrument God used to bring a person into His Kingdom.

Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen (Isaiah 32:3).

Father, as I sit here this morning before you, I can think of nothing I need other than to stand in the gap for those that are going through hard times and won’t come to you on their own. I ask that you would continue to work on their hearts and minds so that they will come to know you. Stir the spirits of your saints to go to them and give them a share of the good news and share the love that you bestow onto us daily in order for them to get the Holy spirit that you promised to all that accept Your son as Lord and savior. Jesus Christ, the Shepherd
    The Good Shepherd
    John 10:1-11 –
“I tell you the truth, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber! But the one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice.” Those who heard Jesus use this illustration didn’t understand what he meant, so he explained it to them: “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them. Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.
Who Died for us; The Great Shepherd
    Hebrews 13:18-21 –
Pray for us, for our conscience is clear and we want to live honorably in everything we do. And especially pray that I will be able to come back to you soon. Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood— may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.
Who Lives for us; The Chief Shepherd
    1 Peter 5:3 –
And now, a word to you who are elders in the churches. I, too, am an elder and a witness to the sufferings of Christ. And I, too, will share in his glory when he is revealed to the whole world. As a fellow elder, I appeal to you: Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example. And when the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor.

  • Good morning and praise the Lord for another day and another chance to grow in the gospel and be a blessing to others. I spent time with my group of Pastors that I use for my spiritual accountability. That sharing time led me to write this message. I hope you find something in it for yourself.
    Today’s Prayer

Father, You did not say in Your Word that as a Christian we would not be tempted, but rather that with Your help, we need not be overcome. You did not say that we could solve others’ problems, but that we could introduce them to You, and that You would provide the answers. Oh Lord, help us to study Your Word until knowing Your laws and living by them becomes second nature to us, for fear that we stumble and cause others to fall. In JESUS’ name, Amen

    Two by Two

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work. – Ecclesiastes 4:9
Here I go again with one of my little revelations that I want to share. Have you discovered yet that you are incomplete by yourself? During my “warrior” stage of life you would have been hard-pressed to convince me that I needed you or anyone else. I was huge on self pride in those days until I discovered that pride is something that God was trying to break me of. I know few people willing to admit their need for others, but many who live according to this principle. However, sooner or later we discover God’s truth regarding our need for others.

God made us to need others. We may not discover this until we fail – fail in a business, a marriage, a close friendship, or in a client relationship. We are incomplete without the ongoing input from others into our lives. An independent spirit is one of the most detestable sins from God’s viewpoint. It is the highest form of pride.
“Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice” (Proverbs 13:10).
God has made each of us so that we have only so many gifts. He did not give any of us all the available gifts. Hence, we learn to depend on others and to humbly trust others to complete us where we are deficient.
The bible gives us vivid demonstration of the partner act. David had Jonathan. Paul had Silas. I was reading a document sent to me by OS Hillman on the relationship between noted people in the gospel and the assistance God provided for them. It was pointed out that Martin Luther had Philip Melanchthon. Melanchthon was 14 years younger than Luther. Martin Luther learned that he needed someone in his life to complete the work God called him to do. Luther had the greatest respect for this friend who helped him reform the Church of their day and the Church as we know it at present. Luther learned a great deal from Melanchthon, who was a great scholar at a young age. He could speak several languages, and he became Professor of Greek at the new University of Wittenberg at 21 years of age. This was ten months after Luther posted his famous theses on the church door in Wittenberg. Melanchthon helped shape the Protestant movement of the sixteenth century through his research, writings, moral purpose, and religious conscience. Luther and Melanchthon became inseparable, and when they died, they were buried next to each other.

The question is now clear. Who has GOD placed in your life to complete you? Maybe it is a mate. Perhaps it is a close friend. Perhaps it is a business partner. If you lack this in your life, I encourage you to seek someone out who can speak into your life. If you have someone like this, tell him or her how much you appreciate the role he or she plays in your life.

  • Good morning everyone. This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. This morning the message is all about faith. Do you have it? How strong is it? Today we will learn a lesson in faith from Abraham.
    Today’s Prayer
Father, why do bad things happen to good people? Please help us to realize that nothing happens to us that You don’t know about, and allow. You may let us make mistakes, and You may let Satan attack us to teach us that we need Your strength and protection. Whatever the source of our problems, You can turn the outcome to good!Oh Lord, forgive us for getting so caught up in trying to run our own lives that we fail to seek Your will; forgive us for often turning to You only in times of crisis; forgive us for being “slow learners;” and forgive us for letting our pride separate us from You. Teach us that You are indeed faithful and trustworthy, just as You want us to be. Give us faith to see that Your grace is indeed sufficient to sustain us in all situations. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
As far as I am concerned, God turned into good what you meant for evil. He brought me to the high position I have today so I could save the lives of many people. (Genesis 50:20)

    The Faith of Abraham
    Romans 4
Abraham was, humanly speaking, the founder of our Jewish nation. What were his experiences concerning this question of being saved by faith? Was it because of his good deeds that God accepted him? If so, he would have had something to boast about. But from God’s point of view Abraham had no basis at all for pride. For the Scriptures tell us, “Abraham believed God, so God declared him to be righteous.” When people work, their wages are not a gift. Workers earn what they receive. But people are declared righteous because of their faith, not because of their work. King David spoke of this, describing the happiness of an undeserving sinner who is declared to be righteous: “Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight. Yes, what joy for those whose sin is no longer counted against them by the Lord.” Now then, is this blessing only for the Jews, or is it for Gentiles too? Well, what about Abraham? We have been saying he was declared righteous by God because of his faith. But how did his faith help him? Was he declared righteous only after he had been circumcised, or was it before he was circumcised? The answer is that God accepted him first, and then he was circumcised later! The circumcision ceremony was a sign that Abraham already had faith and that God had already accepted him and declared him to be righteous–even before he was circumcised. So Abraham is the spiritual father of those who have faith but have not been circumcised. They are made right with God by faith. And Abraham is also the spiritual father of those who have been circumcised, but only if they have the same kind of faith Abraham had before he was circumcised. It is clear, then, that God’s promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was not based on obedience to God’s law, but on the new relationship with God that comes by faith. So if you claim that God’s promise is for those who obey God’s law and think they are “good enough” in God’s sight, then you are saying that faith is useless. And in that case, the promise is also meaningless. But the law brings punishment on those who try to obey it. (The only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break!) So that’s why faith is the key! God’s promise is given to us as a free gift. And we are certain to receive it, whether or not we follow Jewish customs, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe. That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who brings into existence what didn’t exist before. When God promised Abraham that he would become the father of many nations, Abraham believed him. God had also said, “Your descendants will be as numerous as the stars,” even though such a promise seemed utterly impossible! And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though he knew that he was too old to be a father at the age of one hundred and that Sarah, his wife, had never been able to have children. Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was absolutely convinced that God was able to do anything he promised. And because of Abraham’s faith, God declared him to be righteous. Now this wonderful truth–that God declared him to be righteous–wasn’t just for Abraham’s benefit. It was for us, too, assuring us that God will also declare us to be righteous if we believe in God, who brought Jesus our Lord back from the dead. He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised from the dead to make us right with God.
    Quote of the Day
The key to lasting happiness and real pleasure in this world is not found in seeking gratification, but in pleasing God. And while the Lord desires that we enjoy His gifts and the people to whom we are joined, He wants us to know that we were created first for His pleasure.

  • Good morning everyone. Today I am in the mode of thanking the Lord for His faithfulness. We must work on our faith every waking minute in order to move down the right path. In a sermon I heard just yesterday, Pastor talked directly to us all about commitment In our christian walk. So I ask; are you committed to your spiritual life?
    Today’s Prayer
Father, teach us to follow You, not just to try to do as Jesus did, but to be as He is. That’s the core of it, isn’t it? If we try to become more Christ-like, then our doing will be the fruit, won’t it? We must have love in our hearts — no unforgiveness, no bitterness, no envy, no self-centered agenda, and then it will be easy to show love in our actions. We will need Your help. We can’t do it without You, but if we truly seek Your will, and ask for the Holy Spirit’s guidance, then we will be able to fulfill Your plan for our lives. Help us to develop patience, and strength and courage, for our sake. In the matchless name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

    Hope in the Lord’s Faithfulness

    Lamentations 3:1-22
I am the one who has seen the afflictions that come from the rod of the Lord’s anger. He has brought me into deep darkness, shutting out all light. He has turned against me. Day and night his hand is heavy upon me. He has made my skin and flesh grow old. He has broken my bones. He has attacked me and surrounded me with anguish and distress. He has buried me in a dark place, like a person long dead. He has walled me in, and I cannot escape. He has bound me in heavy chains. And though I cry and shout, he shuts out my prayers. He has blocked my path with a high stone wall. He has twisted the road before me with many detours. He hid like a bear or a lion, waiting to attack me. He dragged me off the path and tore me with his claws, leaving me helpless and desolate. He bent his bow and aimed it squarely at me. He shot his arrows deep into my heart. My own people laugh at me. All day long they sing their mocking songs. He has filled me with bitterness. He has given me a cup of deep sorrow to drink. He has made me grind my teeth on gravel. He has rolled me in the dust. Peace has been stripped away, and I have forgotten what prosperity is. I cry out, “My splendor is gone! Everything I had hoped for from the LORD is lost!” The thought of my suffering and homelessness is bitter beyond words. I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The unfailing love of the LORD never ends! By his mercies we have been kept from complete destruction.

  • Good morning and praise God for another day and another month. All of us have the same opportunities to seek God’s face. The question is who will actually do it? Today I’m going to share a little of my life’s experience with you.
    Today’s Prayer
(Make this personal for you if it fits)
Father, we have heard that you are never late, seldom early, but always on time. When I think back through the experiences of my life, I can see the truth in that statement. Thank you for always being on time. Thank you for the lessons you have taught me through waiting, through suffering, through the storms and valleys and for your faithfulness always. Thank you for the rays of sun that peaked through the clouds in the way of a praying spirit and helping hand from other Christians.  Thank you for the sun that shone brightly after the storms and cloudy days, and for your Son who is my sun and shield, the Lord Jesus Christ. If you had always been on my time schedule, I wouldn’t have learned much in life, so I am thankful that you are always on time according to your schedule. I praise you for who you are and all you’ve done. May I always be seen by you through the blood of the Savior. In His name I pray, Amen.

    Waiting for the Lord
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. ~ Psalm 27:14
In our spiritual lives there many things that are important to hold on to. Hearing and doing God’s will are two important steps that often get confused as one step. However, these are two distinct processes. Hearing God’s voice is only 50 percent of the process. The next important step is to know when to move. It is one thing to hear; it is another to know when to act. There was a time when the Lord showed me I was to teach and coach young people on a full time basis. This was a major change in my life from what I was doing. I was a young with no children and part of the night club scene and being foolish with the women. So I began to try to juggle both sides of my life and it didn’t work. This became a real source of frustration because I wanted to do what God gave me to do, but on my terms. Finally, after many years of bumping my head against obstacles I gave in and God blessed the work. HE provided the abilities that I didn’t possess on my own.
That is how my ministry began and I didn’t even realize it till many years and my trials later. God is always on time. He is never late, and He is seldom early. Ask God for the wisdom to discern His will and His timing for the events in your life.
    Quote of the Day
I want Thy plan, O God, for my life. May I be happy and contented whether in the homeland or on the foreign field; whether married or alone, in happiness or sorrow, health or sickness, prosperity or adversity – I want Thy plan, O God, for my life. I want it; oh, I want it.

  • Good morning everyone. Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. I’m here today to say that though there are those who justify there worldly behavior by bending and twisting scripture to fit what they are doing, they are worse off than the person that doesn’t know God or Jesus at all. Let that resonate in your spirit for a while as you read the message.
    Today’s Prayer
Father, I stand in the gap for my brothers and sisters in Christ as I ask for your help to accept the fact that life is often filled with trials — earthquakes, floods, fires, tornadoes, lay-offs, accidents, sickness, and loss of loved ones, mix in with times of joy, love, helping hands, quiet peace, and strong hope! Help us remember that others have faced similar problems, and found You. Let our faith never falter, for in the midst of our adversities You are there. Let us resolve to put our hand in Yours, for You have said that You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. New opportunities will come, new doors will open. The sun will shine again! Help us trust You all the way, and to be ready. In the wonderful name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

    Sin: Its Pleasure and Punishment
    Pleasures of Sin
    Hebrews 11:24-27
It was by faith that Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to share the oppression of God’s people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin. He thought it was better to suffer for the sake of Christ than to own the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to his great reward. It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible.
    The Choice; Deceitfulness of Sin
    Hebrews 3:12-15
Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.”
    The Process; Wages of Sin
    Romans 6:15-23
Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you. Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living. Because of the weakness of your human nature, I am using the illustration of slavery to help you understand all this. Previously, you let yourselves be slaves to impurity and lawlessness, which led ever deeper into sin. Now you must give yourselves to be slaves to righteous living so that you will become holy. When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right. And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom. But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
    The Result; Punishment of Sin
    Matthew 25:34-46
“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left. “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’ “Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’ “Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’ “And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’ “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”

  • Good morning and praise the Lord for another wonderful day on the path to Him. You need to give Him some praise right now. The word “STEADFAST” dropped into my spirit so that’s where we will feed from in the Word of God.
    Today’s Prayer
Father, Thank you for this day and for the instruction you provide through your Word. Please help us to always have a soft answer to turn away wrath, not harsh words that stir up anger; help us to use knowledge rightly, not to speak foolishness. We pray that our tongues would build up others as a tree of life giving shade and shelter and never speak perverseness that would break the spirit. Let us always receive your instruction and correction with an ear to hear, a mind to accept, and a heart that is humble. We thank you and offer this prayer in the name of Jesus, Amen.

    Christian Steadfastness
    Steadfast in the Truth
    Acts 2:1-4
On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.
    Steadfast in the Faith

    Colossians 2:1-3
I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other believers who have never met me personally. I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
    Steadfast in Life and Work
    1 Corinthians 15:58
So, my dear brothers, since future victory is sure, be strong and steady, always abounding in the Lord’s work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever wasted as it would be if there were no resurrection.
    Quote of the Day
Do not yield to the temptation of looking at everything at once, as if everything would happen at once, and all the events of the day be crowded into an hour. Do not thus forecast, but take each thing as it comes to you, and look upon it as the present expression of the will of God concerning you; then regard the next in the same way, and thus receive your day piece by piece from Him who will remember always when He gives you work to do, that you need strength to do it. Often, when you have almost fainted in spirit, the thought comes, “If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, what shalt thou do with the horsemen?” Put it from you, it is a faithless thought; if you need more strength, you will have it, be sure of that; or the call to greater exertion may never come to you. Your business is with the present; leave the future in His hands who will be sure to do the best, the very best for you.

  • I'm tired and exhausted most of the time just attempting to be ok. I have not been on my job for awhile and faced unemployment with no unemployment insurance to fall back on. Imagine having no income at all, not knowing how you will eat or if your bills will be taken care of. You apply for job after job with no leads. Finally you take a position making a fraction of what you used to make. Its frustrating to say the least. By no means am I a quitter. Heck, I want to sometimes but Im thankful for the people who love me. I ran to counseling because I was overwhelmed. Then to add fuel to the fire, my family is under full fledge attack. So, this status is simple. The strongest get tired. I am asking for true prayer...for strength. I proudly live a life of positivity. Even the strongest spirited woman breaks. I have my beautiful band family, my children, my grandchildren, amazing friends and someone who cherishes me. They keep me going but I still get tired. Spiritually tired. Emotionally tired. Pray for me...I don't know what's next and I need a breakthrough. So, if you know God, love him, believe in me pray for me. I'm weary...I just need more strength. No more, no less. I'm tired...yep, tired.

  • Good morning everyone. As I sat here thinking about all the conversations I have had with various people about circumstances in our individual lives and how things just keep piling up, I stopped myself and the thought process to clear my head. The words “look at the small things” dropped into my spirit. I was also reminded of the information that I’m going to share today so get ready.
    Today’s Prayer
Father, the Holy Spirit dropped a few words into my spirit today and I thank you for putting my mind in check. “It’s the simple things” The simple things in life are the things that can irritate us and the things that can bring us the most pleasure. I want to thank you for the small things and the simple things. A small thing to one person can be a great thing to someone else. Please help us to stop and think before we react to little things that irritate us. Help us to always appreciate the simple things of life, for they are truly what we enjoy. Thank you for the beaches, mountains, lakes and forests; thank you for the light and warmth of the sun and the freshness and life in cooling rain; thank you for the wildflower so bright and pretty and the singing bird so beautiful; thank you for a child’s love and a pet’s devotion; thank you for a baby’s breath and an old person’s smile; thank you for a cold glass of water on a hot summer day. I could go on and on because there are endless things to be thankful for, but the greatest of all is love. I love you. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

    Small Things
Who despises the day of small things? ~ Zechariah 4:10
Our Lives are filled with a series of small things that can amount to something big. Have you ever considered why the God of the universe came to earth and spent 33 years identifying with mankind through work?
Jesus grew up as a carpenter’s son and, no doubt, learned the trade from His daily routine of helping His father. For 30 years He worked. When it was time for Him to begin to fulfill His purpose for mankind, He told countless stories of people and their work. He told stories of landowners, farmers, fishermen, tax collectors, and so on. He related to the everyday man because He Himself was one. This is why it was important for Him to have some personal work experience. Life is filled with daily routines. Every now and then, God takes us to the mountaintop to experience His presence in a dramatic way. This is not the norm.
It was not the norm for those in the Bible either. Moses spent 40 years in preparation. Paul spent a great deal of his life working toward the wrong purpose until a dramatic event changed his life. Jacob spent 20 years working for Laban. God uses work to develop character qualities that He plans to use at the appropriate time. In the small things we develop trustworthiness with God. The day-in and day-out grind of working life molds us and makes us into what God desires. He may still be preparing you for something far greater. For now, however, you are learning the daily lessons of small things. Pray that you will be faithful. Many of us go about our day taking the small things for granted. We should be aware of every second because the Lord can end this life at any given moment.
    Quote of the Day
One can believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ and feel no personal loyalty to Him as at all – indeed, pay no attention whatever to His commandments and His will for one’s life. One can believe intellectually in the efficacy of prayer and never do any praying.

  • Good day everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for he is good, yes he is good. He woke us for another day and another chance. How will you use it? Today we’re going to visit a story that has been told many ways over the years. Let it bless you!
    Today’s Prayer

Father, So many times throughout the day, little things tend to annoy us. We may be in the middle of a work project or getting ready to leave the office, and the phone rings. We may be doing household chores, and someone rings the doorbell. We may be in a hurry to an appointment, and realize the car needs gas or has a flat tire! We may go out the door, heading to church, and the dog gets loose and will not come to us. Seems there’s always something. We pray that we will learn to step back, take a breath, and not get upset over these little annoyances. In fact, We ask You to please help us not see these things as annoyances, but just as part of life and just go with the flow. Help us relax and not stress over these things. Help us stop and do what needs to be done with a smile on our faces and a song in our hearts. Help us find a blessing in disguise. We want to be overflowing with joy. Restore unto us the joy of our salvation and the joy in living. Thank You, for we know with You, all things are possible. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

    Independence That Leads to Sin

So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. – Luke 15:20

I’m going to take a shot at telling a familiar story from the bible and putting a modern day slant on it but not changing any of the facts. There were two young men who had worked for many years in their family business. One day one of the sons decided he wanted to venture out on his own. He had been under the employment of his father’s business long enough. He felt he had learned all he needed to know. He wanted his independence. He wanted to take his stock options early, which would allow enough capital to begin on his own. The other son remained behind, working day in and day out, faithfully doing his job.

The first son went out on his own only to find it was more difficult than he had ever imagined. The immediate cash gained from the advance from his father’s business was a temptation that was too great for him. He spent all of the money, fell into sin, and failed to invest any of his money in another business. He failed miserably. Finally, he came crawling back to his father, seeking to be taken back as a mere laborer. His father took him back with open arms, fully restoring him to his original place. He experienced grace and love in a way he had never known before.

When we desire independence so much that we launch out without God’s full blessing, we can expect to fall on our face. When pride enters our lives, it discourages us from dependence on anyone but ourselves; yet God says that we are to depend on Him alone. If we think we can go and do everything alone, we will fail. On the other hand, in spite of the prodigal son’s failure, he learned a great lesson of grace that he had not known before. This resulted in humility of the heart, which had a lasting impression for the rest of his life. Therefore, God even turns our failures into successes spiritually when we are willing to admit our failure. Pride always goes before a fall. Check your heart today and ask God if there is any pride that is encouraging independence from your total trust in God.

You can use this on those preachers of yours who brag about how well they look and preach, but don’t have true and honest hearts. You can boast about us that we, at least, are well intentioned and honest. Are we insane [to say such things about ourselves]? If so, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit. Whatever we do, it is certainly not for our own profit, but because Christ’s love controls us now. Since we believe that Christ died for all of us, we should also believe that we have died to the old life we used to live.

  • What a wonderful day to realize that if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior, you were given a new life! This is something that some of us take for granted and because of the new life the yearning to know the Lord even more sometimes goes a little dormant. You better wake up and catch on fire again.
    Today’s Prayer
Father, in the midst of worldwide confusion, “wars and rumors of wars,” moral decay, and political quandary, and when our personal world crashes in around us, remind us that You are God and that You are still in control. Help us as a nation to not give way to gloom, but to keep our eyes focused on You, and to recall past times when You have sustained us. Help our leaders to prayerfully seek Your will and Your direction before they make world-shaking decisions. Bring revival to this nation, and to Christians around the world, and let it begin with me! Living the New Life
    Colossians 3:1-17 –
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God’s right hand in the place of honor and power. Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth. For you died when Christ died, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your real life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires. Don’t be greedy for the good things of this life, for that is idolatry. God’s terrible anger will come upon those who do such things. You used to do them when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old evil nature and all its wicked deeds. In its place you have clothed yourselves with a brand-new nature that is continually being renewed as you learn more and more about Christ, who created this new nature within you. In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. Since God chose you to be the holy people whom he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. You must make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive the person who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. And the most important piece of clothing you must wear is love. Love is what binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are all called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in your hearts and make you wise. Use his words to teach and counsel each other. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father.

  • Good day everyone. I have talked to quite a few people that had questioned me about God’s provision and if it’s real or something that “CHURCH PEOPLE” just talk about. I personally know him as Jehovah Jireh and the message today lays that foundation. May those that may be wondering about this subject be enlightened and blessed.
    Today’s Prayer
Father, whether life polishes us or grinds us down depends on what we are made of and what we are made of depends on where we’re centered. Help us to make You our focus, our center, this day and in the days ahead; to daily read Your Word, to be still and reflect on its meaning, so that we may really get to know You. How can we sense Your will for our lives unless we first try to build a relationship with You? Only then can we discern how You would respond in our situations, and know intuitively the leading of Your Holy Spirit. Help us because we want to be willing to commit our lives totally to You. In the wonderful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

    Spiritual Food
    The Lamb in Egypt
    Exodus 12:11 –
While the Israelites were still in the land of Egypt, the Lord gave the following instructions to Moses and Aaron: “From now on, this month will be the first month of the year for you. Announce to the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each family must choose a lamb or a young goat for a sacrifice, one animal for each household. If a family is too small to eat a whole animal, let them share with another family in the neighborhood. Divide the animal according to the size of each family and how much they can eat. The animal you select must be a one-year-old male, either a sheep or a goat, with no defects. “Take special care of this chosen animal until the evening of the fourteenth day of this first month. Then the whole assembly of the community of Israel must slaughter their lamb or young goat at twilight. They are to take some of the blood and smear it on the sides and top of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the animal. That same night they must roast the meat over a fire and eat it along with bitter salad greens and bread made without yeast. Do not eat any of the meat raw or boiled in water. The whole animal—including the head, legs, and internal organs—must be roasted over a fire. Do not leave any of it until the next morning. Burn whatever is not eaten before morning. “These are your instructions for eating this meal: Be fully dressed, wear your sandals, and carry your walking stick in your hand. Eat the meal with urgency, for this is the Lord’s Passover.
    God’s protection; The Silver Trumpets
    Numbers 10:1-9 –
Now the Lord said to Moses, “Make two trumpets of hammered silver for calling the community to assemble and for signaling the breaking of camp. When both trumpets are blown, everyone must gather before you at the entrance of the Tabernacle. But if only one trumpet is blown, then only the leaders—the heads of the clans of Israel—must present themselves to you. “When you sound the signal to move on, the tribes camped on the east side of the Tabernacle must break camp and move forward. When you sound the signal a second time, the tribes camped on the south will follow. You must sound short blasts as the signal for moving on. But when you call the people to an assembly, blow the trumpets with a different signal. Only the priests, Aaron’s descendants, are allowed to blow the trumpets. This is a permanent law for you, to be observed from generation to generation. “When you arrive in your own land and go to war against your enemies who attack you, sound the alarm with the trumpets. Then the Lordyour God will remember you and rescue you from your enemies.
God providing healing through the Blood
    Joshua 5:2-10 –
At that time the Lord told Joshua, “Make flint knives and circumcise this second generation of Israelites.” So Joshua made flint knives and circumcised the entire male population of Israel at Gibeath-haaraloth. Joshua had to circumcise them because all the men who were old enough to fight in battle when they left Egypt had died in the wilderness. Those who left Egypt had all been circumcised, but none of those born after the Exodus, during the years in the wilderness, had been circumcised. The Israelites had traveled in the wilderness for forty years until all the men who were old enough to fight in battle when they left Egypt had died. For they had disobeyed the Lord, and the Lord vowed he would not let them enter the land he had sworn to give us—a land flowing with milk and honey. So Joshua circumcised their sons—those who had grown up to take their fathers’ places—for they had not been circumcised on the way to the Promised Land. After all the males had been circumcised, they rested in the camp until they were healed. Then the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away the shame of your slavery in Egypt.” So that place has been called Gilgal to this day. While the Israelites were camped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho, they celebrated Passover on the evening of the fourteenth day of the first month.

When I have learnt to love God better than my earthly dearest, I shall love my earthly dearest better than I do now…When first things are put first; second things are not suppressed but increased.

  • Good morning and praise the Lord for another wonderful day. I hope that you’re ready for these morsels we are about to consume. You know by now that it’s going to be filling, so get your utensils ready.
    Today’s Prayer
Father, on behalf of my brothers and sister everywhere, I ask that you help us to walk closely with You daily, taking time to read Your Word, so that we will come to know You, and recognize Your Spirit’s leading, so that we will not be deceived or coerced into following “another God.” Give us the courage and wisdom to “pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.” Help us to “fight the good fight of faith,“** that we may be Your true witnesses. In Jesus’ name we pray and give thanks, Amen.
    Let’s eat.

    Ready for every Good Work
    Titus 3:1-5
Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone. Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. But—“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
    Abound in every Good Work

    2 Corinthians 9:8
God is able to make it up to you by giving you everything you need and more, so that there will not only be enough for your own needs, but plenty left over to give joyfully to others.

    Fruitful in every Good Work

    Colossians 1:6-10
This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. You learned about the Good News from Epaphras, our beloved co-worker. He is Christ’s faithful servant, and he is helping us on your behalf. He has told us about the love for others that the Holy Spirit has given you. So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
    Quote of the Day
Stand in a stream with waters around your ankles. The waters that pass by you at that moment, you will never see again. So it is with the misery that has challenged your life: Let it go, let it pass away.
