As I reflect on the writing of my book and how and why it came about I
realize that the spiritual nature of my writings did not allow me to save face or totally blame others for my failed relationships. At the time I did not know that this was and is all so necessary in my ability
to heal. That is what this is all about, to heal and develop healthy
relationships. Not to do so is counterproductive to
the overall healing of the Black community because it is our relationships/families that are the heart and foundation of our
communities. In my continuing research on relationships and why they go wrong and what we should do to make them right I have witnessed many people that just started out in a relationship without doing the work. We/ they just did not know who we are. Youth, being without a father, our enslavement, economics, lack of education, and religion all play significant roles in the failure of relationships and marriages. For those of you, like myself, WHY ARE YOU NOT MARRIED? There could be many reasons for this? I know people who were once married, as well as those who have never been married. There is a distinct difference in
personality between the two. According to statistics from Unmarried.org, there are 112 million unmarried people in America. Are you not married by choice, meaning that you receive offers many times but choose not to, or do you not receive any offers because the right person has just not come along? Tell me what you think.
