FROM CC: Southern California: I am thrilled to be starting the new year with two shows at the Torrance Performing Arts Center (Nakano Theater) with my longtime collaborator Abe Lagrimas Jr. on drums and ukulele, Gary Wicks (of Manhattan Transfer) on bass and the inspiring Laurence Hobgood on piano. It is wonderful to be sharing music from our new album, "The Better Angels," as it is good right from the very start to set our intentions for 2015: to be inspired to tap into the better angels of our nature at all times to every living being. In addition, I stay true to my longtime mission of promoting Filipino culture in every part of the world and thus we will share jazzipino, harana and kundiman. We will joined for the first time by a fellow singer - a great one at that - Angela Vicente on harmony vocals. From CC: I am thrilled to be back to South Africa for the Joy of Jazz Festival along with Gregory Porter, Dianne Reeves, Roberta Gambarini and more! My first performance there was two years ago with local Jozi cats. And they played their hearts out! This time I am excited that I will be joined by Laurence Hobgood on piano, Abe Lagrimas Jr. on bass & Gary Wicks Music on bass.
