Mariah Carey first won our hearts when she belted out so many of those incredible '90s jams that we all know and love, like "Fantasy" and "Heartbreaker." We've watched her grow from the naive young woman who had no idea what awaited her into the sassy queen who has the world at her disposal. Here are our favorite moments in Mariah Carey history.

It’s the age-old tale of a young girl with aspirations and terrible fashion choices who grows up to fulfill said aspirations on a small scale before meeting a few wacky characters (like Da Brat) who help guide her towards success. Of course, she inevitably is taken advantage of and/or falls in love with no less than two of those same characters and exercises terrible judgement that could possibly destroy everything she’s worked so hard for. But that won’t matter, because the movie can’t end without her finding fame and happiness first. Then she lived fabulously every after. The end.
