Sheeran last released new material in 2015 with "Photograph."

Ed Sheeran is ringing in 2017 with two new songs. "Cause I've been away for a bit here's two singles rather than one," writes the lovable Brit on Instagram this morning (Jan. 6).

"Shape of You" is a flirty, dance-y track about meeting a girl at a bar and bringing her home. "I'm in love with your body," sings Sheeran on the chorus. And, apparently, it was originally written for Rihanna but he decided to keep it for himself.

"Castle on the Hill," on the other hand, is a reflective crooner about his childhood friends. It's more expansive than his signature guitar and singing style, though, diving into some arena rock production.

He hasn't officially released details of a new album, but it'll likely be called Divide
