She recorded the new track for the upcoming film "Queen of Katwe," about a Ugandan chess prodigy.
Alicia Keys reawakens on "Back To Life." Beginning off as a soulful acoustic crooner, the song switches beat midway to become an revitalizing, upbeat electro jam.
"[It's] is about pushing past that little voice of doubt in our heads so we can instead, electrify the world," said Keys in a statement. "When we allow women to find and express their power and potential, the world changes for the better."
The song is from the upcoming Disney film Queen of Katwe (out on September 30) about 10-year-old Ugandan chess master Phiona Mutesi.
Keys is also expected to release her much-awaited sixth record, featuring lead single "In Common," in the near future.
