Although it's been years since Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were together, it's clear there's still no closure between the two after this weekend. Following a series of Instagram photos of Justin with Nicole Ritchie's sister, Sofia Ritchie, in Japan, Beliebers quickly started to throw shade in the comments section. Justin responded to the hate by threatening to make his profile private.

He didn't do it. But Selena reportedly also put in her two cents in support of Justin's fans. "If you can't handle the hate, then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol- It should be special between you two only," Gomez commented on a photo of the rumored couple. "Don't be mad at your fans. They love you and supported you before any one ever did," she commented.

And even though Justin could have left it alone, he responded with, "It's funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way," he wrote. "Sad. All love."

In another comment, he also wrote, "I'm not one for anyone receiving hate. Hope u can all be kind to my friends and eachother. And yes I love my belibers."

Meanwhile, Selena showed love for her Selenators with a sweet collage on IG.
