Things got weird (in the best way possible) at Warped Tour in Las Vegas.

Warped Tour 2016 is just about in the books, but not before a few more shows.

As with every year, the traveling festival is full of bands new and old performing short sets for anywhere from dozens to thousands of screaming fans. It's synonymous with summer concerts across the country, and it's the only place you'll see so many bands in one place on one day for an affordable ticket price.

Myspace braved the heat in Las Vegas to bring you some of the best moments from this year's Warped Tour. Check out our eight favorites.

Yellowcard

Even if most of the crowd wasn't able to tie their own shoes when Ocean Avenue initially dropped, Yellowcard was still at the top of the list for many Warped attendees. Although they were forced to play at the tail end of the afternoon when everyone was at their hottest and most exhausted, the crowd still lit up for the last few tracks of the set, "Way Away," "Only One," and (of course) "Ocean Avenue" for the final time at a Las Vegas Warped Tour. Whatever you do, don't boo them when they mention their impending breakup.

Splash Pits

What's a "splash pit," you ask? It's when the majority of the audience for a punk and/or hardcore show is in a pool instead of solid ground. Rather than moshing (which Warped Tour has banners against at every stage), the crowd becomes a delightfully chaotic pool party. It may sound weird, but go to one punk show at a hotel pool and see how great it is for yourself. The layout was a little weird due to the constraints of the hotel, but the pool area was fantastic. If only every stage had an aquatic feature.

New Found Glory

In the world of pop-punk bands from the 2000s who aren't breaking up this year, New Found Glory was the biggest name on this year's Warped Tour. Performing in the middle of the 100-degree heat, it might've not been the craziest set the Floridians have ever busted out, but they certainly still brought plenty of energy. Although 25-minute sets usually mean you don't get to see everything you want to in one set, the guys in NFG managed to cram as many hits as they could into their allotted window.

Sticking with Tradition

Warped Tour has always been about the youth, which means that it has to change over time. The teenagers of today aren't into the same thing the teens of a decade or two ago were interested in, and the same bands that headlined some of the earlier Warped Tours would certainly never be found on one of the "Punk Rock Summer Camp" stages again. Yet, through it all, Kevin Lyman has managed to keep Warped Tour remarkably consistent. From the randomization of set times and short set length to the giant inflatable schedule and minuscule (comparatively speaking) ticket prices, Warped has always managed to stay true to its roots in more ways than one.

Issues

Don't know anything about Issues' music? Don't really even like metalcore? Don't worry about it. All you need to know about their set is that they walked out to the Rugrats theme song and played on a stage full of Pokemon games and references. Yeah, that's what we thought too. They're your new favorite band whether you listen to them or not, and they were a highlight among the newer bands on Warped Tour this year.

Indoor Stages

Anyone who's been to Warped Tour knows how hot it gets. Now imagine for a moment that over half of the stages were in air conditioned indoor music venues (and one other had a pool). That's what life was like in Las Vegas on Tuesday. Forget the fact that you had to go sprinting from one end of the Hard Rock to the other to catch bands on various stages, because a handful of those stages involved cooling off while you were at it. Given how roasted people were getting in the sunshine, having the cooler stages probably saved some people from even worse dehydration and sunburns.

Waka Flocka Flame

In case you were unaware, Waka Flocka Flame goes hard in the paint. Keeping the tradition of hip-hop at Warped Tour alive (generally at least for an act or two), Waka Flocka delivered one of the best sets of the night. He mixed in some metal and some Warped Tour classics, and then he closed the 25 minutes with a rendition of "No Hands" that really should've ended the entire show. We'd party with Waka again anytime.

Less Than Jake

We're not really keeping track, but it seems like there can't be too many bands who have done Warped Tour more often than Less Than Jake. With ska making a bit of a miniature revival in music these days, the guys from Gainesville were probably bigger influences on many of this year's younger Warped Tour bands than just about any other act on the tour. Combine that with the fact that they still put on a hell of a show (even if the wind kind of negated their toilet paper guns and beach ball tosses) for both diehard fans and those who've never heard their music before, and they remain a must-see act whenever they do Warped Tour again.
