The production will also feature brand new music by the "Let It Go" team.
Frozen will soon head to Broadway. Disney announced that the anticipated theatrical production will premiere in spring 2018, with a trial run elsewhere the year prior.
Moreover, Frozen: The Broadway Musical will feature a score by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez—the same songwriting team behind "Let It Go" (below), for which they won an Academy Award for Best Original Song.
"We got very emo," Kristen said to Fresh Air about its making. "We decided we didn't want this song to be a traditional Disney princess song, so we were listening to singer-songwriters like Aimee Mann and Tori Amos and Sara Bareilles, and we just wanted to approach this song in a different way."
Casting and actual dates have yet to be announced. Head to Frozen: The Broadway Musical's official website for more info.
