How is our summer concert calendar already full?
It's a little bit country, it's a little bit rock n' roll. But mostly just rock n' roll. Here's who we're most excited to see hitting the road in the upcoming months.
Dave Matthews Band Summer Tour
While some fans may be in mourning that prolific jammers Dave Matthews Band are taking a hiatus in 2017, news isn't all bad. Along with the announcement of their upcoming break, they also revealed an extensive 2016 summer touring schedule. It kicks off on May 11 in Wichita, KS, and wraps up on September 4 with the third of a three-night Gorge Amphitheatre run. Click here for more info.
Brand New & Modest Mouse Co-Headlining Tour
Kings of college indie, Brand New and Modest Mouse, have announced a co-headlining tour slated for the summer. Anybody else suddenly feeling tons of... feelings? It kicks off June 28 in Magna, UT and wraps up on July 31 in Portland, OR. The tour will be in support of Modest Mouse's 2015 release, Strangers to Ourselves. No word yet on a new album from BN, though. Click here for more info.
Miranda Lambert 'Keeper of the Flame' Tour
Fans of Miranda Lambert will have plenty of chances to see her this year, as she's announced not one, not two, but three tours that she'll be a part of in 2016. But her most recent "Keeper of the Flames" tour announcement is certainly the most exciting, as it's the only one she'll be headlining. Kicking off in Austin, TX, on April 30, she'll be joined by Kip Moore and Brothers Osborne as support. Click here for more info.
Iggy Pop & Josh Homme 'Post Pop Depression' Tour
After their surprise collaboration was revealed earlier this month, Iggy Pop and Josh Homme are now planning to tour behind their upcoming album entitled Post Pop Depression. Spanning from March to April before a May jaunt overseas, you can catch them in major cities throughout North America beginning on March 28 in Seattle. The album is due out on March 18. Coldplay North American Tour
In support of their latest (and quite possibly final) album, A Head Full of Dreams, Coldplay is hitting the road. After a lengthy trek overseas for shows in South America and Europe, they'll touch down in the U.S. on July 16 for a gig at MetLife Stadium in New York, NY, followed by stops in Chicago, Boston, Philly and more.
