Save the cheerleader, save the world.
Remember NBC series Heroes? It ran from 2006-2010 and introduced actors like Hayden Panettiere, Zachary Quinto and Masi Oka to the mainstream. The sci-fi television drama brought the tales of seemingly normal people who suddenly discover they have superhuman powers—like regeneration, flying, time-travel—and some chose to do good with it, while others (we're looking at you, Sylar, you terrifying bastard) used it for reeeeally evil things.
Heroes enjoyed an amazing response during its earlier seasons—critics loved it and deemed it must-see TV in its debut season. But the later seasons suffered from storyline bloat, a snail-slow pace and, well, the introduction of some not so interesting characters. As a result, Heroes fizzled away from television existence and we never again heard from Hiro, Peter Petrelli and Claire Bennet......... until now.
NBC has decided to bring back Heroes in a new form: Titled Heroes Reborn, the 13-episode miniseries will premiere on the network on September 24. Watch the trailer above.
