Disney Channel's Descendants may be reminiscent of your Tumblr dashboard, but all the hype and chatter surrounding the film (...also on your Tumblr dashboard) means you—or your kids—will probably be watching nonetheless. 

Directed by Kenny Ortega (Gilmore Girls, High School Musical), the stars of Descendants are the teenage offspring of your all your favorite Disney villains. In a new promotional poster released just today, four characters are spotlighted: Mal (Maleficent's daughter), Carlos (Cruella's son), Evie (Evil Queen's daughter), and Jay (Jafar's son).

Descendants brings us the story of the benevolent teenage son of Belle and the Beast, who's prepping for his ascent to the throne. To properly kick off his reign, he's allowed all the kids of villains to leave the island that they've been imprisoned on in order to attend prep school with the rest of civilization.

Descendants comes to the Disney Channel some time in 2015.
