Batman (Ben Affleck) oversteps governmental boundaries, while Superman (Henry Cavill) is seen to some as a literal alien. The apparent son of Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) calls this match "the greatest gladiator match in the history of the world," though his cheery voice gives away that he might have orchestrated this battle. Meanwhile Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) shows up at the battlefield, though not even Batman or Superman knows why.
