And you should really download it NOW!
If you stopped by the Foo Fighters' website recently, you may have noticed a mysterious countdown. And now that it's at zero, the band has revealed their new EP, St. Cecilia.
Featuring five new tracks, the record was "to give to the world as a 'thank you' for the last 2 years," frontman Dave Grohl explained in a long letter that he wrote on November 8. But what was originally viewed as a way to celebrate life and music, the attacks on Paris brought a new light to the Foo Fighters' EP. Dave wrote another letter that preceded his original note dedicating St. Ceclilia to the victims in Paris.
"To all who were affected by the atrocities in Paris, loved ones and friends, our hearts go out to you and your families. We will return and celebrate life and love with you once again someday with our music. As it should be done," he penned in the note.
You can read both of Dave's letters on the band's website as well as download the free EP. St. Cecilia is also available on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music and for purchase on vinyl.
