For the first time, the band recounts what happened in Le Bataclan on November 13. And it's heartbreaking.
Eagles of Death Metal will never look at a gig the same way again. On November 13, the American rock band was playing a show at Le Bataclan in Paris just like any other night on their tour. However, things took a turn for the worst when it went under attack and left 89 of their fans and friends dead.
Although the band has released a statement regarding the incident, Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme sat down with VICE for their first ever interview about what took place on that night.
"Several people hid in our dressing room," Jesse said during a preview of the interview, "and the killers were able to get in and killed every one of them except for a kid who was hiding under my leather jacket."
VICE is set to premiere the entire interview at some point this week, but in the meantime, you can watch a snippet of the heartwrenching talk below.
