Go ahead and call it a comeback.

On Friday, Will Smith dropped his first rap verse in 10 years. Now, he says that his remix of Bomba Estereo's "Fiesta" is only the beginning of a musical comeback. Will has recorded more than 30 new tracks and has "six or seven that I really, really like, that I'm trying to get the ideas to come out right," as he tells Beats 1 host Zane Lowe.

But he isn't trying to rush. As if inspired by his kids Jaden and Willow, Will has also been consulting with young artists and "philosophers" so that he doesn't sound out of touch.

"I'm just trying to still find that voice," Will says. "I have so many things that I wanna say, [though] I'm struggling with saying them in a way that fits the flavor of music I tend to like."

What is ironic is that, as he tries to acclimate to the current musical climate ("It's like trying to service ADD, almost"), Will is also "pretty certain" that he will tour in summer 2016 with DJ Jazzy Jeff—as in, the founding Philadelphia disc jockey who used to do music with him as "DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince." Watch his interview with Zane Lowe below.
