– 2013 Etter tre CD-er og en mengdesamleplater synes jeg det var på tide. Det er noe eget med LP-formatet, medlyden, med følelsen. Zuma skulle egentlig alltid ha vært på vinyl, siervokalist Alexander Stenerud.

Makker Henrik Njaa er enig:

– Ringen er på et vis sluttet, vi ertilbake der hvor vi skulle ha startet, på vinyl på slutten av 80-tallet.Drømmen var jo ikke å utgi musikk som MP3, men på ekte LP-plate!

ZUMA DEBUTERER OG SELGER TIL GULL

Zuma tok form i 1995 etter at Stenerud og Njaa vant en demokonkurranse påNRK P3, men slo for alvor igjennom i 2001. Dette året ble debutalbumet “Juno» lanserog ble det mest solgte norske debutalbumet dette året med over 20 000 solgteCDer.

ZUMA HERJER PÅHITLISTENE

Zuma var også et de mest spilte norske bandene på radio med bl.a. hitlåtene “Pearl” og “The Tram” som lå ukesvispå topplistene. For albumet “Juno» bleZuma nominert til både Spellemannsprisen og HitAwards.

ZUMA MED MUSIKK TILTV-SERIE

To ar senere ga duoen ut “Rainboy», med enda to radiohits, i tillegg tilVG-lista-slageren “Joy in the City». Denne ble også brukt som kjenningsmelodi på NRKs TV-serie “Lekestue”. Siden ble det flere singler. Zumas foreløpigsiste CD kom med samlealbumet “Pearls” i 2010, som også inneholdt to nye låter.

ZUMA I MELODI GRAND PRIX

I 2008 ble Zuma spurt om å delta iMelodi Grand Prix, og r duoen kom til «Siste Sjansen» med låten «Always,Always». Vokalist og hovedlåtskriver Alexander Stenerud var med i Melodi GrandPrix 2009 som soloartist hvor hans låt «Find My Girl» nådde 3.plass i finalen. I2010 opptrer han igjen alene, denne gang med låten «Give It To Me» som ogsådenne gang gikk direkte til finalen i Oslo Spektrum

Zuma - Norwegian electropop at its best !

Zuma is a Norwegian pop duo consisting of Alexander Stenerud and Henrik Njaa . Zuma took shape in 1995 after Stenerud and Njaa won a demo competition on NRK P3 . 2001 stands out as the big breakthrough year. This year Zuma released their debut album "Juno", which sold nearly 20,000 copies in Norway . "Juno" was nominated for a Grammy Award (Spellemannsprisen) and for "radio hit of the year" with the song "Pearl" from the same album. Two years later came the second album " Rainboy " including the hit " Joy In The City " . The latter was also the theme song to NRK TV series "Play room (Lekestue)" with Nicolai Cleve Broch in the lead role . After these two recordings ( Juno in 2001 and Rainboy in 2003 ), played Zuma in Eurovision 2008, the duo came to " Last Chance " with the song " Always , Always ". Lead singer and main songwriter Alexander Stenerud participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 as a solo artist where his song " Find My Girl" reached 3rd place in the final.

In 2010 he appears again alone , this time with the song " Give It To Me " that also this time went directly to the final in Oslo Spektrum from the semifinal in Bodø.
