A rare combination of songwriter, coach, & social movement organizer, Zo Tobi plays a soul-stirring, crowd-rousing brand of socially conscious rock music that will inspire, empower, and refuel you.
With the epic soundscapes of the Dave Matthews Band, positive message of Michael Franti, and soulful intensity of Ben Harper, Zo’s music is a transformative journey into the heart of social change and spiritual revival.
“Maybe you’re just now ‘waking up’ to what’s going on in the world,” says Zo, “I want to give you some inspiration to discover your calling, and turn passion into action… If you’re already out there making a difference, I want to give you some songs to remind you why you’re doing what you’re doing.”
Zo’s debut EP, Blessed Unrest, was funded entirely through a groundswell of fan support. Recorded in September 2012 and released soon after, Blessed Unrest is Zo’s first contribution of many to a greater soundtrack for social change.
“The songs on Blessed Unrest,” Zo shares, “were inspired by the time I’ve gotten to spend organizing with other young people, on campuses, in communities, and in the halls of power, working to solve climate change, transition from fossil fuels to clean energy, and build an economy that works for everyone.
“As a Life & Leadership Coach, I help people make time for their greatest passions even as they’re working their butts off to address the world’s greatest challenges. I saw for myself that I had songs to share, and I couldn’t keep from sharing them any longer.”
Zo continues to write and perform, both full-band and solo acoustic, while giving coaching and coach training to aspiring and experienced changemakers around the world.
