The Dustbowl Revival is a Venice, CA -based roots+jazz collective that merges New Orleans swing and brass band traditions with bluegrass, jug-band, gospel and swamp-blues.
Known for throwing speakeasy parties from Anchorage to New York the Dustbowl Revival often features up to ten instruments ranging from fiddle, banjo, mandolin and accordion to tuba, trombone, trumpet and clarinet, with plenty of kazoo and washboard for good luck. Imagine Louis Armstrong jamming with Bob Dylan and Mumford & Sons on a front porch in 1938. They have opened for acts as diverse as Best Coast and The Rebirth Brass Band. Dustbowl spread their joyful noise on tours across the USA for the first time this summer.

"A nine-piece band that would have sounded utterly at home within the hallowed confines of Preservation Hall in New Orleans' French Quarter...are members of a ragtag outfit called the Dustbowl Revival, strumming, sawing and puffing enthusiastically as smiling listeners on the dance floor swung their partners infectiously."
