Formed in 2002, Minneapolis, Minnesota-based progressive metal band Zebulon Pike merge the sprawling prog of classic bands like Rush and King Crimson with the muscular heaviness of Pentagram and Judas Priest, giving the band a sound that's driving and exploratory.
The quartet, consisting of guitarists Morgan Berkus and Erik Fratzke, bassist Tom Berg, and drummer Erik Bolen, made its debut in 2004 with And Blood Was Passion, and followed it up two years later with Zebulon Pike II: The Deafening Twilight. In 2008, Zebulon Pike released their third album, Intransience, which they promoted with a Midwest tour with doom thrashers the Sword and Boris. Their fourth album, Space Is the Corpse of Time, was released in 2011. ~ Gregory Heaney
