Themusic of the band is a synthesis of archaic folk and contemporary styles ofmusic from rock, progressive metal to blues. Exceptional, contrastive sound isproduced combining ancient authentic folk art with modern music. Such bands andperformers as Led Zeppelin, Guns’n’Roses,AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, RHCP, Dead Can Dance, Ilgi, Varttina , PhilipGlass, Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, Zakir Hussain,Joe Satriani, Tony Levin, Steve Vai, Jeff Beck, etc. have a significantinpact on the creative works of the band. During the decade of its existence Zalvarinis has released three albumswhich have become a great example for young startup bands playing folk-rock.

The band performs in the largest Lithuanian, European folk-rock, rock, folklore, world musicfestivals such as: Kraina Mryi(Ukraine), Regioo (Estonia), Livas Ciems, Baltijas Saule, Tele2 BeachParty (Latvia), Dozens of Europe(Austria), Vilnius Days in Gdansk (Poland),Menuo Juodaragis, Rock nights, Balticsound, Margos pievos, Kilkim zaibu, Be2Gether, 1000km Rally, international Harley Davidson Convention2011, Karkle Live Music Beach (Lithuania),international festivals in Poland, City Fests, etc. Zalvarinis has sharedthe stage with such well-known bands and performers as Bi-2, The Hobos, Alphaville,Zdob si Zdub, Groove Armada, Fools Garden, Tricky, Metastoll, Skyforger, BIX,Skamp, Andrius Mamontovas, ŽAS, Marijus Mikutavičius, G&G Sindikatas,Happyendless, etc.

As a symbol ofNational Identity, Zalvarinis performs in such events as Independence Daycelebrations, commemorations in Lithuania or abroad, Lithuanian embassies inforeign countries. The music of the band is used as the soundtracks inLithuanian documentary films. Also it is played on the radio stations and evenincluded into the Final National Secondary School-leaving Examination‘sQuestionnaire. Zalvarinis cooperates with professional jazz and rock musicians,popular Lithuanian singers and bands and participate in various joint TVprojects.

2002 –Zalvarinis Starred in the Austrian Film studio Film about Lithuania.

2004 - The Awardof the Best Discovery of the Year 2004. National Television (LRT).

2004 - ChristmasCharity Concert Angels to People,Siemens Arena, Vilnius, Lithuania.

2004 – TheAnthem for the International Balloon Fiesta Antkalno murai was composed.

2005 – The Videoof the Song Alaus alaus was filmed inLatvia‘s National Television.

2005 – The bestfolk-rock group Award in the Alternative Music Festival Velniu Malunas.

2005 – TheAcoustic Program was presented in the National Television (LRT).

2006 – TheNomination of the Year Ethno Group was received in A.LT 2005 Awards.

2006 – ThePerformance in the Spectacular of the Lightening of the Christmas Tree in theCapital City of Lithuania.

2007 – NationalBasketball Team Zalgiris Season‘sOpening in Sports Hall in Kaunas.

2008 – The Song Stinta Pukis was composed for the FirstNational Film Awards Sidabrine Gerve.

2009 - The book Du broleliu was released with thekaraoke versions of the best known Lithuanian folk-rock bands Zalvarinis andAtalyja.

2009 – The Showin the International Fireworks Festival Vilniusfejerija 2009 in Vilnius.

2010 – The bandis experimenting, searching for the new sound. The acoustic program Zalvariniskitaip has come into being. Zalvarinis performs in Lithuanian clubs, TVprojects, compose new songs with famous Lithuanian instrumentalists (TadasDešukas-violin, Žydrūnas Mockūnas-percussion, Indrė Jurgelevičiūtė - flute, vocals).

2012 – The Song Sunus was recorded with the icon ofLithuanian Pop Scene – Marijus Mikutavicius. The records were assisted by thecelebrated jazz bassist Vytis Nivinskas.

2012 – Zalvariniswas nominated in T.E.T.E. Music Awards.

2012 - Commemoratingthe 150th anniversary of the Lithuanian poet, priest, scientist Maironis birthanniversary, Zalvarinis has recorded the song Negesta akys according to the poet's poems Uzmigo zeme.

2013 – The singleAlum lijo was recorded. FamousLithuanian jazz instrumentalists helped to record it: LiutaurasJanušaitis-saxophone, Jievaras Jasinskis-trombone, Laurynas Lapė-trumpet.

2013 – ThePerformance in the Lithuanian Music Association Awards MAMA in Zalgiris Arena,Kaunas Town.

2013 – The NewProgram was Presented in the Radio Station Lietus.

Also theperformances to the Lithuanian soldiers were very important in the band’s life.One of the most memorable events is military exercise Amber Hope held in Klaipeda, 2007.
