Formerly known as Yuri Gagarin y Los Correcaminos, their original lineup was Andrés Barragan on guitar, Felipe Villaveces on drums, Luis Escallon on vocals, and Ivan Rodríguez on bass.
The group released Los Demos in 1994, promoted with a live performance with local act Aterciopelados on October 22, that same year. Soon after, Andrés Barragan and Luis Escallon left the band. Around that time, singer/guitarist Andrés Martínez joined in. Before playing at Bogota's Rock Al Parque in 1995, the band decided to make its name shorter. In 1997, Yuri Gagarin participated in a compilation called Subterránica, which was released by independent M.T.M. After Guillermo Montes became the threesome's new drummer in 1998, a self-titled album was issued. ~ Drago Bonacich
