Born in Stevenage, England in 1998, Gabrielle Gardiner had enjoyed a U.K. Top Ten single even before she reached the age of 15.
More commonly known as Gabz, the R&B pop pianist and songwriter appeared as a contestant on the summer 2013 series of Simon Cowell's Britain's Got Talent. Although she didn't win the competition, her journey to the final provided U.K. TV audiences with a number of different performances of her self-penned track, "The One." Retitled as "Lighters (The One)" and produced by the Tina Turner and Rod Stewart collaborator Graham Stack, the track reached number six following its release by Sony in June 2013. ~ James Wilkinson
