Starstruck, J-Yung, Chyco, JM, and Just-O, standouts in various local crews, combined their talents in 2007 to build a musical monster. Despite the many chefs and their requisite egos, YP's MCs swiftly discovered a knack for trading their rhymes off one another, their flows smoothly merging into one. In 2008, "Boi," with its sinister hook and many remixes, became a local hit and began to get national play, turning the heads at Asylum Records. Their 2009 debut Da Problem (How's My Rapping) mixed the humor with the raw and provocative and bore the promise of a bright future for the fivesome. ~ Jason Thurston
