      Yonder is incredibly proud to officially announce that our line-up moving forward will feature violinist @AllieKral and mandolin virtuoso Jacob Jolliff. This solidifies Yonder as a 5-piece.       Who's ready for a new album?Joined by violinist Allie Kral and mandolin virtuoso Jacob Jolliff, Black Sheep marks the first time in Yonder’s history that we’re actually utilizing, throughout an entire record, the conventional five-piece instrumental arsenal of bluegrass introduced in the 1940s: guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, and bass. The result, says Kaufmann, is that, “This record sounds more like Yonder than any record we’ve ever done. I’m hoping that when people are finished listening to it, they’ll just hit play and listen to it again."Black Sheep is scheduled for national release on our own Frog Pad Records at Telluride Bluegrass Festival on June 16, 2015.       Happy New Year, Kinfolk! We had a blast celebrating the new year with all of you at the Boulder Theater. Wednesday night we brought in the new year with Allie Kral and Jacob Jolliff, Thursday we got to jam with Shawn Camp, Dave Watts and Joey Porter from The Motet, and Blues Traveler’s John Popper, Friday we welcomed special guests Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman from the Trey Anastasio Band, and last night we wrapped up the party with Andy Hall and Andy Falco from The Infamous Stringdusters.Now it’s time to rest our fingers for Winter Tour!  See you on the road!

      On the heels of our 2015 Winter Tour, Yonder Mountain String Band is headed your way for our 2015 Spring Tour. We'll head west to many of our favorite stops and make our debut at some new favorites as well. On the itinerary, we return to the Pacific Northwest, hug the West Coast as we make our way to Southern California for the first time in a bit, before turning inland for several more stops in Texas, the Great Plains, and the Midwest. Once again we'll be joined onstage by our good friends Allie Kral on fiddle and Jacob Jolliff on mandolin for the entire tour, with support to be announced in the coming weeks.
