White Moth is a genre-defining musical endeavor helmed since 2009 by R. Loren -- a resident of Denton, TX with a long list of outré projects to his name, including post-rock ensemble Pyramids and the atmospheric soundtracks of Sailors with Wax Wings.
In the case of White Moth, Loren invited a virtual army of collaborators, including guitarist, bassist, and co-producer Colin Marston, Lydia Lunch, Shelby Cinca of Frodus, Alec Empire, Dälek, John Gossard of Weakling Asunder, Sam Hillmer of Zs, Christoph Heemann of In Camera and H.N.A.S., Ashley Scott Jones, Jacob Kirkegaard, and others, to lend their talents to an eponymous 2010 debut harnessing multiple vocal styles, extreme metal guitars, and layer upon layer of electronics into an intricate white noise collage, dubbed by Loren as digital hardcore. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
