Twin brothers, Gary & Glenn Miller (“the Joe Strummer and Mick Jones of Folk Music”), from County Durham in North East England, formed The Whisky Priests in August 1985 as teenagers with no previous professional musical experience but a burning creative vision.
A turbulent career, which lasted 17 years from 1985-2002 (plus a handful of reunion shows in 2003-04), saw constant and punishing touring schedules, numerous line-up changes, as well as long and bitter High Court legal battles with recording and publishing companies, while the band maintained a fierce determination and independent attitude. Through perseverance against the odds, The Whisky Priests become internationally renowned for its energetic live shows, released a number of critically acclaimed albums, toured extensively and developed a worldwide cult following.

In 2013, The Whisky Priests tentatively announced plans for a reunion. Watch this space!...
