Both had been members of Vomitory, which disbanded at the end of 2013. They recruited guitarist Anders Jakobson and guitarist/vocalist Andreas Björnson. The former had been in Coldworker from 2006-2013, while the latter fronted Fetus Stench.

They spent most of the year writing and rehearsing, and entered a recording studio in November. Their debut album, Forensic Nightmares, was an exercise in collective songwriting. It was released by Metal Blade.
