The moniker of satirist and musician Jens Hellman, Vicki Vomit was a persona that poked fun at a number of social monuments over the course of its career, sometimes irking those targets enough into litigious behavior.
Vomit, that is to say Hellman, got his start in the music business as a teenager in the rock band Prinzz in the early '80s. The band underwent some changes, notably in name (they became Blitzz in the late '80s) and released the album Do the Blitzz in 1989. The band soon broke up -- in 1992 -- and Hellman created the Vicki Vomit persona. As Vomit, Hellmann released his first album in 1994, titled Ein Schritt Nach Vorn. Songs of Vomit's soon started appearing on compilations, and he (and his band) started releasing albums at a fairly steady rate for the next ten years. In 2004, a live DVD was released, titled Live, and in 2006 Hellmann and his group released the album Für N Appel und N Ei. ~ Chris True
