In 2014, I also portrayed myself in the feature length documentary film "Montreal New Wave" released in Montreal, Quebec, on February 20th, 2016 . Other album musical releases include ""Continuum", my Yoga and Meditation Singles, "Symbolic", "Codified", the "I Drift (Away From You" EP) and "Oktave" in 2015-2016, "Celestial" in 2014 and "Behind The Light in 2013.

"Behind The Light" is a venture into the ether of instrumental experimental electronica as I perceive it. This music was created without the use of any effects whatsoever in order to preserve and present the pure source sound of each instrument I utilized in my compositions. I am an active participant on the MidnightRadio Compilation Netlabel which currently has 76 releases under its belt and collaborate regularly with Eisenlager on the Himmelholzsteg series of experimental electronic music releases.

I am a self-produced electronic music composer, musician and songwriter with a passion for electronic, ambient, experimental, avant-garde music and have been writing music since 1978. I create and record soundscapes and voice using various recording devices, mono/poly analog and digital synths, vocoders, tapeloops, transistor and short wave radio waves, ethnic and handmade instruments. Music is my “raison d’être” as I continue to explore and push the boundaries of experimental electronica by creating my unique music whether in studio or out in the field. Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s Iperformed in Montreal, New York and Berlin.

Western Board of Music and Royal Conservatory of Toronto Grade VIII graduate in classical piano and Harmony III. Long-standing member of the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN) and the Society for Reproduction Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers in Canada (SODRAC). Awarded a grant from the Canada Council of Performing Arts in 1984 to perform in Berlin, West Germany. I am fluently bilingual in both French and English.

When I moved to Montreal in the late 70s, there was a burgeoning night club and indie underground music scene happening. Wanting to be a part of this energy, some friends and I formed a group called The Essentials. My musical role was a keyboardist/singer. Our music was britpop/rock influenced and our hits included "You're Too Rude" and"Can't Afford". My next venture was Duotang, a two-member electronica/experimental/reggae-jazz infused duo. We used various mono/poly analog synths, a beat box, bass sequencer and a vocoder to create our eclectic music.We performed regularly at art and club spaces in and around Montreal, While working as the other half of Duotang, I acquired a taste for singing in various languages and an interest in industrial noise music, which led me to the drone machine master, Zilon Lazer, who was then a member of Monty Cantsin's notorious Neoist movement. Zilon and I worked together on various art and club projekts and performed at the Pyramid and at the opening night of the infamous NYC Lower East Side club, Save the Robotz. Our kid was Sensitiv Organz with yours truly on e-bass, synths & vocals, Zilon on beats/back vocals/white noise/drones and Claudius on electric and bass guitars.

Peppered here and there were numerous solo gigs in and around Montreal, New York City and Berlin, lots of radio interviews, more notably one with CBC Radio's "Brave New Waves" and other french and english press reviews. Included was a feature article, written by Llys Dana,for the Paris arts and cultural magazine "Kanal, Le Journal des Cheyennes". I was also snapped by Paige Powell at the Pyramid Club and the pic was later published in Andy Warhol's "Interview" magazine. Always the antediluvian, I found time to portray a warrior queen in the Montreal play entitled "Opus Contre Nature" which was based on a battle between androgyns and warriors. Opus gave birth to the songs "Primitiv" and "Amazomium", written and produced by Jacques Demers and Jean Paré. In the fall of '83 the video "Savana" was filmed on-set at l'Eskabel in collaboration with P.R.I.M. video.

The CanadaCouncil grant I was awarded in 1984 allowed me to travel to West Berlin and paved the way for my first two cassettes "MetalArbeitenSchlinge Part 1 -Montreal and "MetalArbeitenSchlinge Part 2 - Berlin". Originallyreleased on 100 numbered cassettes, "MetalArbeitenSchlinge Part 1 -Montreal" was packaged in a 5"x8" plastic envelope including pictures and song notes and was distributed by Montreal's Bunker record store. Upon my return from Berlin, I released “MetalArbeitenSchlinge Part 2 – Berlin”.The cover shots for Part 1 and Part 2 were selected from a series of portraits taken in West Berlin and were courtesy of the Berliner photographer, Nicole Fortin. In 2009, I re-released Parts 1 & 2 in MP3 format as well as my 1990s musical collaborations “SensitivOrganz – The WarehouseSessions",“SensitivOrganz SOS” and “SensitivOrganz Porno No-No”. My other works entitled “Portents” and “Compositions/ Décompositions” were released shortly thereafter. Whilst in Berlin, I connected with Tomaz Scholz and Mona Fuchs, two artists who were actively involved Berlin's underground art and music scene. Mona, a sculptress, worked with all types of scrap metal, tools, bicycle partsand all that was weldable and exhibited her sculptures around the city. She didan installation for one of my performances and her works are featured here on my slideshow. Many thanks to Zilon Lazer for his brilliant musicianship and support and Josh Fried for his remarkable live mix on "Primitiv" at the Pyramid Club.

Throughout my musical career, I was privileged to work with the incredible videographers Paul "Simon Eyes" Antoniades, who was kind enough to chronicle my legacy of live shows and performances and Diane"Yana Tape" Lassonde who, together with Simon Eyes, generously offered her video art as installations and backgrounds to my shows. J’ai déménagé à Montréal à la fin des années 70, et à cette époque on assistait à l’émergence d’un monde parallèle de clubs de nuit et de musique underground locale. Moi-même et certains amis musiciens voulions faire partie de cette énergie et nous avons formé un groupe nommé The Essentials. Mon rôle musical était claviériste et chanteuse. Notre musique était influencée par la musique pop rock britannique et on compte parmi nos succès "You're Too Rude" et "Can't Afford". Mon projet suivant était Duotang. Nous étions deux membres qui formions ce duo avec des influences électronique/expérimentale/reggae-jazz. Nous utilisions divers synthétiseurs mono/poly analogue, boîte à rythmes, séquenceur de basse et vocodeur pour créer notre musique éclectique. Nous avons donné des spectacles régulièrement dans des lieux d’art et des clubs à Montréal et dans la région métropolitaine. Mon travail avec l’autre moitié de Duotang a suscité en moi un intérêt pour le chant dans différentes langues ainsi qu’un intérêt pour la musique industrielle expérimentale, ce qui m’a menée au maître de l’expérimentation sonore, Zilon Lazer, qui était alors membre du movement néoïste notoire de Monty Cantsin. Zilon et moi avons travaillé ensemble sur divers projets dans les milieux de l’art et des clubs de nuit, et nous avons présenté une performance musicale au Pyramid et lors de la soirée d’ouverture de Save the Robotz, le célèbre club du Lower East Side de New York. Notre collaborationa donné naissance à Sensitiv Organz donc je faisais la basse électrique, les synthétiseurs et voix principale, Zilonrythmes/voix/bruits/effets sonores et Claudius la guitare électrique et la basse. J’ai donné plusieurs spectacles solo à Montréal et dans la région, à NewYork et à Berlin, ainsi que plusieurs entrevues à la radio, notamment une entrevue à "Brave New Waves" à la Société Radio Canada et des revues de presse en français et en anglais. Llys Dana a rédigé un article de fond pour la revue parisienne des arts et culture Kanal, Le Journal des Cheyennes. J’ai aussi été photographiée par Paige Powell au Pyramid Club et la photo a par la suite été publiée dans le magazine Interview de Andy Warhol.

J’ai toujours été attiré par les récits antédiluviens,et j’ai trouvé le temps de jouer le rôle d’une reine guerrière dans une pièce de théâtre montréalaise intitulée, "Opus Contre Nature", où des androgynes et guerriers se livraient combat. Opus a donné naissance aux pièces musicales"Primitiv" et "Amazomium", écrites et produites par JacquesDemers et Jean Paré. Savana a été filmé sur scène à l’automne 1983 à l’Eskabel en collaboration avec P.R.I.M. vidéo.

Le Conseil des arts du Canada m’accordait une bourse en 1984, ce qui m’a permis d’aller à Berlin ouest et a ouvert la voie pour mes deux premières cassettes « MétaleArbeitenSchlinge Partie 1 – Montréal » et «MétalArbeitenSchlinge Partie 2 – Berlin ». MétalArbeitenSchlinge Partie 1 –Montréal avait été lancé initialement sur cent cassettes numérotées, emballées dans une enveloppe en plastique de 5 pouces par 8 pouces incluant photos,paroles et commentaires et distribué par le magasin de disques Bunker deMontréal. J’ai lancé MétaleArbeitenSchlinge Partie 2 – Berlin à mon retour de Berlin. Les photos couvertures pour les deux cassettes ont été choisies parmi une série de clichés pris à Berlin ouest et sont l’œuvre de la photographeberlinoise Nicole Fortin. J’ai relancé Partie 1 et Partie 2 en 2009 en format MP3, ainsi que mes collaborations musicales des années 1990 « SensitivOrganz –The Warehouse Sessions », « SensitivOrganz S.O.S. » et «SensitivOrganz PornoNo-No ». Mes oeuvres intitulés « Portents » et « Compositions/ Decompositions »ont été lancés peu après. Je tiens à remercier chaleureusement Zilon Lazer pour son brillant sens de musicalité et son soutien ainsi que Josh Fried pour son remarquable mixage live sur «Primitiv » au Pyramid Club.

J’ai eu le privilège tout au long de ma carrière musicale de travailler avec les incroyables vidéographes Paul « Simon Eyes » Antoniadès, qui a eu l’amabilité de documenter mon héritage de spectacles et performances en direct, et Diane «Yana Tape » Lassonde qui, avec Simon Eyes, a généreusement offert ses videos d’art comme installations et arrière-scènes pour mes spectacles.
