Valentino Khan's name appeared on a variety of commercial rap and EDM releases beginning in 2012, a year in which several of his remixes were officially released.
Most notably, he remixed Gent & Jawns' "Holler," issued on Mad Decent offshoot Jeffree's. He and Will Bailey also collaborated on a single, "Rukus," released that year on the same label, and he also produced "Play for Keeps," a trunk-rattling album cut from B.o.B.'s Strange Clouds. The producer and DJ's name was hard to miss for the next few years as he worked with Diplo's Major Lazer ("Bubble Butt"), remixed tracks by Skylar Grey and Zeds Dead, among many others, and released bruising original material of his own on Skrillex's Owsla (the In Khan We Trust EP) and Steve Aoki's Dim Mak ("TNT," with Tittsworth). ~ Andy Kellman
