udor was born in Germany in the middle of the wild sixties in the bohemian part of Munich, called Schwabing.
He was born into a media-family, whose father, a journalist and sound-engineer was a veteran of German film and television production and working for the largest German television network "Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen" (ZDF).
udor began photography at age 11 or 12 with an old viewfinder camera of his fathers, his love for photography was already evident when he did an internship at the photolab of ZDF's media office at age 15. Press photographers who took a look atudor's early photographs recognized his talent and urged him to study photography and make it his living: "You have the eye for photography! That is something you can't learn. Either you have it, or you don't, and YOU have it!"
Since those early critiques and recommendations started… they never ended.
In 1986, he documented, as a freelance photographer, the World Fair in Vancouver, Canada for 'Ute Emmerich Fotoarchive", a German stockphoto agency. udor has been been published in Black Tie International, Jet Magazine, Palm Beach Today and the New York Daily News as well as in international newspapers and magazines. He is shooting regularly for Black Tie Magazine, BTE TV, FashionLedge and Fashion Syndicate Press. He was also the creative director and photographer for "New York Girl - Style & Beauty".
udor is now a noted fashion and runway photographer who has been called "one of NY's hottest photographers". He shot Danny Glover and Gina Lollobrigida, the princess of Morocco posed twice for him. As did the heirs of the Gregory-McLean family, who were the last private owner of the notorious Hope Diamond. udor frequently works with Randy Jones, the original cowboy of the "Village People" and many more. udor captured personalities such as the ambassador of the Vatican to the UN and the ambassador of Israel to the Vatican. He had the honor of being one of two photographers invited to the Polish Consulate to photograph the former president of Poland and Nobel Peace Price Recepient Lech Walensa. Mario van Peebles, Donald and Melania Trump, Yoko Ono and more have been captured by udor, either at red carpet events or having posed in person for him.
The cast of "A Tale About Bootlegging", an independent film, starring James Best, best known for his role as the sheriff Rosco Coltrane of the tv cult series: "Dukes of Hazard" posed for him as well.
His work the "Disgruntled Bride" series, is subject to two documentaries about udor. One of the documentaries is planned to air on television in late 2012.
