Biography
Tyrants is a black shymponic metal band from Rome formed in 2001 by Andrea "Aerioch" Di Nino.
After a long seek "Aerioch" finally found a worthy musician to work with on the sound he was looking for. Like said before, the genre is a black symphonic metal but opened to other influences, with solos and melodic parts, all mainly composed by the guitarist Marco "Sinthoras" Gulluni.
The first demo "Tyrants" was recorded in Rome in 2006 and has been appreciated by many Webzines for its sound, raw but at the same time plenty of melodies, accurate arrangements and giving much space to synths.
The second demo "Beyond Death" was recorded in 2007 adding new parts but leaving the sound and compositions characteristics unchanged.
Differntly, at the recording time of the first studio album, titled "Ruchus", Tyrants decide to leave the typicals raw black metal recordings for a cleaner and more defined sound to bring out
"Sinthoras"s works with guitar and orchestral parts, leaving to "Aerioch"s voice the raw touch characterizing the band. In the Ruchus album we find new songs but old tracks too from both
"Tyrants" and "Beyond death" demos, played and rearranged according to the new sound adopted by the band in the last period. Ruchus has been produced entirely by Tyrants in 2011.
An ulterior change, completing the final work result, has been the meeting with Martina Di Marcoberardino who recorded, as guest, some opera voice parts composed to maximize her vocal range
and give some tracks a more soft and less aggressive tone.
The other guests contributing to "Ruchus" realization are Alessandro"Lord Vampyr" Nunziati, singing the chorus in Beyond death, and Riccardo "Endymion" Studer who made the choir in Ruchus and Reborn.
After a break, Tyrants are back with the video "The Cry of Syn" (link to video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5P3Gj3OEphI ) in 2013
Today, the tyrants are working on Union EP (that includes The Cry of Syn extended version) which will be released soon.
