He has more than 15 years of experience working in financial services. He earned a Financial Planning diploma from Medicine Hat College and a Bachelor of Management in Finance from The University of Lethbridge and has since earned both the Certified Financial Planning and Personal Financial Planning designations. He has plans to earn the Chartered Investment Manager designation, the Chartered Life Underwriter designation and a Masters in Business Administration.Troy Hale is passionate about helping Canadian families become financially more successful. Troy Hale is a Family Feud Canada champion. He appeared on 3 espisodes of Season 1 of the game show, along with his 4 brothers, in February 2020. They are waiting for an invitation to re-appear on a future season.

Troy Hale is a marathon runner. In 2019, he challenged himself to do something he had never done before - run farther than 5 kilometres. In February 2020, he ran all 42.2 kilometres of the Surf City Marathon in Huntinton Beach California.

Troy Hale is a world traveller and a foodie. He managed an Instagram page that features local foods, and restaurants. Whenenver he visits a new location, he begins his vacation plans by planning his meals. His favourite cuisine is Mexican. In his opinion, cilantro and lime will elevate any dish.

Troy Hale is the oldest of 6 children. He is married and has two energetic daughters. They challenge him every day. Lately, they want him to perfect his handstand skills. They still need some practice.
