From the humble highschool band beginnings in 2003, Tribal became a confident and impacting, high-energy rock outfit in Eastern Australia for 10 great years.
Tribal's energetic, heavy rock style was a powerful wall of sound likened to Anberlin, Lostprophets, Saosin, and The Almost.
Founding members Tay Plain and Ashton Reed, were joined by Jai Reed, Dane Harris, Nathaniel Marsh and Joshua Brown in the early years to create Tribal's debut album Fly Free (2006).
Tribal began touring schools and youth events across NSW and started to greatly influence a predominantly young audience, with their uplifting and honest songs.
The follow up EP: There’s Still Hope (2009) identified this generation’s yearning to be free from the negative social issues, and to find a place of belonging. The affinity between the youth of today and Tribal's music lead to more years touring with a resounding battle cry that echoed in their live concerts and with young people years after.
Then joined by drummer Steve Jameson & Guitarist Jordan Bartlett, with the release of Tribal's 2012 EP 'Brighter Skies' marked the beginning of a new chapter for this young Australian rock group. Tribal's long-crafted energetic rock sounds, began to once again get crowds moving across Australia Playing at festivals throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and the ACT.
After 10 fun filled years, Tribal decided to end it where in all began with two shows in Wollongong and Shellharbour NSW to their hometown fans. The gigs may be over but the music lives on...
