Bringing together vocalists like Tito Allen, Ray Sepulveda, George Lamond, Junior Gonzalez and Alexa Rojas to name a few, Grupo Transito offers some of the best salsa talent of the last fifty years under the same banner. Fernandez, a veteran director of some of the most successful Salsa groups starting in the early nineties, including Marc Anthony, Obie Bermudez and Michael Stuart has made a name for himself as a very powerful and talented, if somewhat under-the-radar musical director and producer. Coming from humble beginnings, born in Santiago, Dominican Republic before moving to Brooklyn, Fernandez worked as a professional musician for many years before graduating from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. In the years to follow, he established himself not only as a strong trumpeter, but also arranger and composer. In his most notable effort so far as organizer of Grupo Transito, Fernandez has gained significant critical notice and acclaim.
