Creating singular and rousing atmospheres of alternative rock sound selections, influenced by rock & roll's classical references, such as Beatles or Cheap Trick, the Toy Subs have consistently put together a solid career since the early '90s.
Composed by Jamie Daruwala (vocals), Alex Tittel (guitar), Greg Mayfield (bass), and an always-changing element at the drums section, the Houston-based team gradually established their daring and straining tunes, locally and beyond. After releasing Now, their first disc, in 1990, the Texans began to amplify a solid and indisputable live performing tradition, taking them all over the U.S. during the years that followed. Red Floor Sessions hit the record stores in 1993 as their second recording, and two years later, Vim Fuego sublimed their better commands. Swiftly assembling a faithful and respectable fan base, the Subs consolidated their sole condition within Houston's music scene. In 1998, the group dismissed their fourth disc, Vodka Sonic, before 2001's Unreleased Demos, a compilation of the band's previously unreleased material. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges
