Composer of the Ana Carolina hits "Garganta" and "Tô Saindo," Totonho Villeroy debuted in Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul) in 1984 with the show Do Outro Lado da Rua.
Influenced by Argentinean tango and African music, Villeroy coined his pop/rock style, presented to a wider audience for the first time in 1991 on his album Totonho Villeroy, awarded with the Sharp Prize of Revelation of the MPB. In 1999, he participated in the compilation CD Porto Alegre Canta Tangos, launched in Argentina with a successful show that also was presented in Rome, Italy, also with success. ~ Alvaro Neder
