Influenced by Caribbean culture, along with R&B acts like R. Kelly and Earth, Wind & Fire, Tony Hood is a producer and singer who was born in Guyana.
A move to Brooklyn came next, then he landed in Orlando, Florida, where he first set out as a producer. Singing over his own tracks was originally just for economics, but then audiences became just as interested in the vocals, inspiring Tony to become an all-around solo artist. In 2014 he made his official debut with the single "Freaky Freaky (Tonight)" along with the mixtape It's Tony Hood.
